This studio and lab space for the study of biomechanics houses six types animals with different habitat needs. Rats, frogs, fish, crabs, cockroaches, and a hawk all share this historically protected house in order for their movement to be studied. The theme of the interdependence of the animal kingdom became the concept for the design. Rather than separating the animals like in a zoo exhibit, the animals have access to each other to accommodate natural interactive behaviors such as hunting.
